To give an idea of the number of reference questions that are answered, the following repre sents those of only one week, eith er at the desk or by telephone. The table)'! show that the circu lation of books and magazines dur ing the past year has amounted to 13.306, a gain of 2,342, against a gain of 375 last year—an in crease in both adult and juvenile books. Black wood of Detroit have purchased acreage in the hunting countx-y near the Tower Rill property re cently sold to Clifford McDonald of Detroit.
